Those are records rather than our arithmetic: MVP (Most Valuable Player), CY (Cy Young Award), ROY (Rookie of the Year), GG (Gold Glove), SS (Silver Slugger). Two of them are lettered in the metal they are named after — Gold Glove in gold, Silver Slugger in silver — but the letters say which is which, so nothing here depends on telling the two apart by colour.

WAR is our own calculation from those same season lines: fielding is estimated from putouts and assists rather than measured, fielding innings are missing before 1954, and the fielding component is capped.
